Battlestar Galactica actress Tricia Helfer has predominantly played two different – but very memorable characters – on Netflix‘s fan favorite police procedural Lucifer, making her journey in the series a complex one. In season 2 of Lucifer, long before Fox cancelled the show and it was revived by Netflix, Helfer joined the cast as a defense attorney called Charlotte Richards, but Charlotte’s body was soon taken over by Lucifer’s mother, who originally co-created the universe with God....

A lot of classic games were released for the Nintendo 64, but for many the console is best remembered for its plethora of colorful 3D platformers, including beloved classics like Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie. Even in 2020, those games continue to inspire new ones, and that includes the upcoming Nintendo Switch title Macbat 64: Journey of a Nice Chap. Developed by Diplodocus Games and originally released on Steam in 2017, it was recently announced that the game would be joining other N64-inspired titles like Yooka-Laylee on the Switch, though when exactly has been a bit of a mystery....

Kaldheim has been out for a while now, but Magic Arena is still managing to keep things fresh on a weekly basis with some rotation Limited and Constructed events. The digital-friendly Magic: The Gathering platform has a pretty exciting lineup of events for mid-March that has something to offer fans of every format. In addition to the Kaldheim drafts that players should expect at this point, Magic Arena is also throwing it back to War of the Spark with a Premier Draft and rolling out some Historic events for Constructed fans....

It will soon be possible for the general public to request the removal of PokéStops and Gyms in Pokémon Go, if a lawsuit that started in 2016 reaches a settlement proposed by Niantic. The lawsuit was originally started by homeowners in California who were fed up with Pokémon Go players trespassing upon their private property while hunting Pokémon. In order to settle the class action lawsuit that has been brought against Niantic (the creators of Pokémon Go), a settlement has been suggested, which will allow members of the general public to remove parts of the game if they encourage disorderly conduct....

It’s time to hit the track again, Mario Kart Tour fans. The game’s latest update has just arrived, bringing new content, multiplayer tweaks and a character that has never been a playable racer in the series before! Since its release last September, Mario Kart Tour has fared very well in terms of downloads and revenue. This is no surprise: like fellow Nintendo mobile titans such as Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, it’s one of the biggest gaming franchises around and a blast to be able to play in mobile form....

In the history of Nintendo’s mascot, Mario has usually been depicted as the lovable plumber, right? Wrong. In some screenshots that have appeared on Twitter, Mario has a very different persona in some vintage manga shots that should be marked NSFW. The source of these tainted images comes from the Super Mario 64 manga from 1996 and certainly shines a weird light on the once innocent handyman. The color images show Mario clad in makeup and donning a pair of bunny ears whilst standing provocatively in a corset with fishnet stockings....

It’s been quite a while since Crystal Dynamics shared new details about the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers. Without E3 to fall back on due to the global pandemic, the studio took it upon itself to give fans an update by holding the first War Table stream. The event revealed a ton of new information, went into details on game modes, and showed off more of the customization that players can expect to see....

Marvel’s Avengers could possibly be out as early as October this year, according to Square Enix chief financial officer Kazuharu Watanabe - but that’s only if we’re going to be as optimistic as is possible. Watanabe disclosed this information as part of the company’s latest financial briefing, but fans would do well to not get ahead of themselves as no specifics were given. What we know for certain, though, is that the publisher’s biggest games won’t hit the market until October 2019....

As another week passes by without the addition of Kate Bishop or any other new content, Marvel’s Avengers is still patching bugs away and trying to keep the existing community engaged in the game. Although shrinking playerbases on some platforms are starting to cause problems for matchmaking, the Marvel-inspired looter isn’t down for the count yet. The team behind the game is still trying to address the most glaring bugs and set a better foundation for the add-on content that players have been eagerly awaiting with hopes that fans will stick around and new players will arrive when the work is done....

September sales data shows that Marvel’s Avenger’s digital sales numbers were just short of Marvel’s Spider-Man, even though the web slinger’s hit is only available on the PS4. The game, which is currently available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, took the top spot in September on the NPD charts. Marvel’s Avengers seems to have had the most success in September with physical copies beating out the likes of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Madden NFL 21, but digitally, the game has less success....

Once upon a time, there was a game called Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The idea was simple: players took control of a robust roster of heroes to travel the Marvel universe and fight every villain ever, with Doctor Doom being the big bad, of course. The comics references ran deep, and the gameplay was a nice blend of brawler and RPG elements. The game was universal enough to release on PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii, with a PSP port as well....

Mass Effect is a universe of infinite adventure and infinite danger. The galaxy is a big, scary place, and the people there have to look out for themselves when thuggish mercenaries, the robotic Geth, or pirates come knocking. Or at least, that’s how Garrus Vakarian sees it, and he’s learned to watch his own back (and even Commander Shepard’s). But he doesn’t mind the danger; he finds it fun, actually....

BioWare has reportedly updated Mass Effect: Andromeda on the PC to remove the game’s Denuvo DRM. The 1.09 patch for Mass Effect: Andromeda notably added a Platinum difficulty to the game’s multiplayer mode and continued to improve the RPG’s facial animations, but a significant change may have been slipped in under everyone’s noses. According to DSO Gaming, Mass Effect: Andromeda no longer has the DRM its maintained since launch. Mass Effect: Andromeda has been one of the few major games to struggle with Denuvo, a modern-day PC DRM that’s often seen as extreme but proficient....

What is it with society’s fascination with launching inanimate objects into space? Now Electronic Arts is getting into the act with Mass Effect 3. Imagine the scenario: Mass Effect 3 Super Fan is walking the dog, thinking non-stop about the Mass Effect 3 demo, the return of traditional RPG elements, the odds and ends in the collector’s edition, and of course that chilling ‘Take Earth Back’ teaser trailer – when out of nowhere, a copy of Mass Effect 3 falls out of the sky and lands right at his feet....

The technology powering Microsoft Flight Simulator is ridiculously impressive, but it does have some drawbacks. Rendering what amounts to the entire planet, Microsoft used a combination of photogrammetry for textures and its Bing search engine to create maps of landmasses. While certainly large in scale, it does create certain instances where players have found flat textures and awkward landmarks (especially the monolithic tower in Melbourne, Australia). For the game’s first update, developer Asobo Studio will be tackling the nation of Japan to flesh out its landmarks....

Fans of Alan Wake and Quantum Break are in for disappointing news, because an official source just revealed that neither game will get a follow-up. While Remedy, the development studio that made the games, would love to revisit them, Microsoft apparently has no interest in doing so. Instead, gamers will have to settle for Remedy’s next project, Control. This confirmation comes from Remedy’s own CEO, Tero Virtala, in an interview with Gamesindustry....

Microsoft has announced that all digital Cyberpunk 2077 purchases from the Microsoft Store are eligible for a full refund. The news comes hot on the heels of Sony’s similar announcement, giving customers full refunds and pulling CD Projekt Red’s game from the storefront. To get your refund started, head on over to the official Xbox Support website. You’ll probably be in for a bit of a wait, however, as the new policy is bound to drive in a massive amount of traffic....

2K Games is likely sending someone to go sleep with the fishes. Shortly after the teaser announcement of Mafia Trilogy, Microsoft Store listings for both Mafia: Definitive Edition and Mafia 2: Definitive Edition popped up. Along with sharing some absolutely amazing looking screenshots, release dates could be seen. According to the pages (which have since been removed), Mafia 2 will be coming out next week on May 19 -the day that 2K is doing a proper reveal-....

Minecraft Dungeons just received a new DLC pack called Howling Peaks, which was just announced during today’s Minecraft Live Event. Apart from Howling Peaks, which is set to bring a wide assortment of new features such as new missions, items, and enemies, Minecraft Dungeons is also getting a feature that fans of the game have been asking for since its release back in May. Now, players on the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One should be happy to know that developer Mojang confirmed at the live event that Minecraft Dungeons is now a cross-play game....
