As promised, the France and Benelux update has arrived in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Much like previous updates to the UK and Ireland, patch 1.15.7.0 focuses on France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg and fixes famous landmarks so they look less like a generic office building and more like what they should actually look like. This means the Netherlands’ famous windmills actually look like the old-timey wheat-grinding and water-pumping devices that they are....

Minecraft’s 1.16 Nether update introduced quite a bit of new content, some of which hasn’t even received the attention it rightfully deserves. For the longest time, one of the major struggles players had was trying to get around other dimensions like the Nether and the End without using the F3 screen or having to build tall cobblestone towers. Mojang brought a solution to the table in the form of the lodestone, a special stone that can act as a handy waypoint marker....

The Russian Government has seen fit to ban all console versions of Modern Warfare 2 due to its “offensive content”. Every copy of the game for PS3 and Xbox 360 has been recalled to the stores. No word on internet censoring of the game yet but you can bet its on the way. The diluted PC version is still available in Russia as far as we know. Reports say that not only politicians, but Russian gamers are not happy with the portrayal of the Russian Military in the game....

Activision and Treyarch have announced the upcoming Haunting of Verdansk event for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. This upcoming Halloween special starts on October 20th and will continue to run until November 3rd. As it that spooky time of year, two famous killers will be appearing as skins ready to drop into Warzone during a haunted Verdansk. Jigsaw and Leatherface will be leaving their respective franchises and coming together in a haunted jack-o-lantern filled Call of Duty event....

In the past year or so, video game publishers have had to face the reality that pre-orders are declining. Once used as in indicator for demand (allowing publishers to gauge how many copies they’d need to produce and ship to retailers), these days, fewer players choose to pre-order games and instead wait until launch day to buy it, when reviews for the game have been published. Along with the fact that digital versions mean that gamers no longer have to pre-order games in order to guarantee themselves a copy, many people have suggested that bad pre-order experiences are to blame....

Not even a full day after announcing its existence do we have screenshots of SSGSS Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Coming as the second part of the open-world RPG’s season pass DLC, the newest issue of Japanese magazine V-Jump has shared screenshots of how the blue-haired variants of everyone’s favorite Saiyans will look when they release. On the first page is Vegeta with some descriptions of new abilities he’ll gain....

Microsoft has been hard at work to plan a second, cheaper alternative next-generation console. According to leaks shared today by The Verge, as found on Twitter, the long-rumored Lockhart version of the Xbox next-gen console seems well into development planning. The documents discovered suggest that certain features may not work when in Lockhart profiling mode. This would imply that the mode allows developers to test aspects of games designed for the next-gen consoles, while limited to the performance available in the cheaper and more limited Lockhart build....

Rockstar went out of its way to answer longtime questions in Red Dead Redemption 2, showing players some of the smaller details about John Marston, like where he got his scars or his ranch from the first game. However, as it went about wrapping up older loose ends, and creating its own narrative, the game did still leave some lingering questions that have gnawed at fans ever since. One fan recently turned to Reddit in order to get some answers that Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn’t seem to give, or at least to clear up one plot point that seems out of place by the end....

The 2019 remake of Link’s Awakening has a ton for players to explore. Every single area on the map has something for Link to examine or look deeper into. The best part of the journey is finding optional dungeons that could improve Link for later in the game. The Color Dungeon is the best example of this. The dungeon is found in the middle of the map in the graveyard. A code to unveil the entrance is found in the library after using Pegasus Boots to knock a book with the code down....

Loot Crate, the monthly service that delivers pop-culture memorabilia directly to fans’ doorsteps, announces a new subscription box service specifically for gamers. Loot Crate is launching a brand new monthly service called Loot Gaming, which is set to be “a monthly mystery box subscription with collectibles, apparel, accessories, and more from the biggest and best video game universes.” Those who sign up for the service will receive a four to six “premium items” in each of the month’s packages, with some of them having been created exclusively for Loot Crate, in addition to a booklet styled after a game manual, as well as a collector’s pin....

Lost Judgment could be the final game in the Yakuza spinoff series following a standoff between Sega and the talent agency responsible for the game’s actors. Lost Judgment will launch later this year marking the second installment in the Judgment series. The two games are spinoffs that take place in the same universe as the Yakuza games. However, no matter how well Lost Judgment does in the sales department, it could be the last we see of this particular Yakuza branch thanks to a reported dispute behind the scenes....

Magic: The Gathering’s 81st expansion will be missing a key player, unfortunately. When Ravnica: War of the Spark drops, it won’t include Garruk Wildspeaker. Mark Rosewater, the head designer for Magic: The Gathering, told a user on Tumblr that there are no plans to use Garrik in the expansion pack. However, he also told the fan to be patient, as there are more plans coming for the Planeswalker. This is surely disappointing for fans since the Planeswalkers (who easily move between the worlds of Magic) are at the centerpiece of this particular expansion pack and also the accompanying novel....

The new and official trailer for “the Snyder Cut” of Zack Snyder’s Justice League landed last weekend. And while it showed off a ton of new footage, including a brand new Steppenwolf design and our best looks yet at other evil denizens of Apokolips like Darkseid, Desaad, and Granny Goodness, it didn’t quite solve all the mysteries or reveal all the surprises still waiting in the new film. Fans will continue to have to wonder whether a human Green Lantern will make an appearance for a little longer, and there was no footage of Martian Manhunter....
