Mass Effect takes all the tropes of the space opera genre and blasts them into hyperspace. While it clearly borrows from existing adventures in the field - Firefly, most obviously - it is now the quintessential space opera, the thing all other outer space adventures are held up against. 2020 was a big year for trivia. Starting in January with Jeopardy! With the coronavirus pandemic meaning cinemas are currently closed, fans have seen a number of major movies pushed back until next year and beyond. Recently, the upcoming Uncharted movie saw a severe delay, while the likes of F9, A Quiet Place 2, Black Widow, James Bond: No Time to Die, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife have all seen significant release date changes as well. Unfortunately, it seems a batch of new films will seemingly be joining the aforementioned list, with Lionsgate announcing John Wick 4 and Spiral: From the Book of Saw have been pushed back a year....

Without a doubt, many Far Cry 5 fans have already beaten all that the base game has to offer and are simply biding their time until Ubisoft officially releases the first-person shooter’s Hours of Darkness DLC tomorrow for its various platforms. Until then, some have been jumping into the title’s Arcade Mode to make a wide range of playable content of their own, with one fan having taken it upon themselves to remake the setting of the original Jurassic Park in the game....

It’s only been two weeks, but Nexon’s KartRider Rush+ has already shot to the top of the App Store and Google Play charts with over 10 million downloads. Apparently, KartRider Rush+ is doing just fine after opening pre-registration a few months ago. The game just came out on May 15 and it’s already been downloaded over 10 million times, according to Nexon. It also already has 3.57 million daily users, which are numbers that put most “real” games to shame....

The Matrix and John Wick are both action-packed franchises that elevated the genre to new levels. Coincidentally, they’re both led by the same actor, Keanu Reeves. This inevitably leads to the question of who would win in a fight: Neo, the Kung Fu-knowing reality bender, or John Wick, master assassin? The debate has now been settled forever by the only person who could possibly know the truth: Reeves himself. Speaking about Bill & Ted Face the Music co-star Alex Winter on a recent episode of The Late Show, Reeves was asked who he thought would win by host Stephen Colbert....

The original Knack was a PlayStation 4 launch title, and was criticized at the time of its release for being little more than a tech demo to showcase some of the new console’s graphical capabilities. The game was quickly forgotten by the gaming community, and so the announcement of Knack 2 at last year’s PlayStation Experience caught many off-guard. Now that the sequel is finally available, we’re happy to report that fans of the original will find plenty to love, though we caution that it still has problems that keep it from reaching the same heights as classic PlayStation platformers....

Hideo Kojima hires several more former Konami employees to the Death Stranding development team, including a senior character artist and a cinematic artist. Late last year, headlines were made when Hideo Kojima hired Shinji Harano, a former Konami president to Kojima Productions, where he is developing his next game, Death Stranding. Death Stranding is the first game that Kojima has announced following his departure from Konami in 2015 and some found it unusual that the games industry veteran had hired someone who had served as an executive at his former employer....

It’s been nearly 2 weeks since Patch 10.10 made some small adjustments ahead of the Pulsefire 2020 event. Continuing some previous trends, Riot Games is set to give another round of changes to several champions that are outliers in their roles. However, the incoming Patch 10.11 also addresses issues with the marksman class being rather weak in recent months. After being chosen last year by the community, Volibear’s shocking rework finally arrives tomorrow....

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow wraps up its seventh season this week with “Knocked Down Knocked Up.” After last week’s episode, you’ve probably got a guess as to what the episode title is a reference to, but in addition to possibly paying off some of the future hints given to the Legends by Evil Gideon in order to convince them to retire, this episode wraps up what many would consider the strongest season of the show....

Madden NFL 21 recently released and as it happens every year, fans were clamoring to see where their favorite teams and players landed when it came to ratings. While most digital trading card games require time, devotion, and, ultimately, money to rise through the ranks, ManaRocks - from developer and publisher Rockgames - looks to shift things up in the genre when it releases later this week. ManaRocks is currently in Steam Early Access, but will officially release on May 29th. Already, the digital trading card game possesses a “Mostly Positive” user rating (at the time of this writing), indicating that Rockgames is clearly doing something right ahead of the game’s full release....
