Ubisoft’s free-to-play battle royale Hyper Scape is getting a complete overhaul. The news comes just three months after the game’s launch. Hyper Scape saw some success when it launched into open beta this past July. Many lauded the game’s unique twists on the established battle royale genre, specifically its integration with Twitch. The feature allows viewers to affect the outcomes of matches, by voting on maps and game-changing modifiers, as well as see real-time stats and loadout information....

A Manchester gamer has created a free-to-play video game set in the city’s iconic nightclub 42s, located at 2 Bootle Street. Visual effects artist Greg Foster has spared no detail in recreating the legendary hotspot, from the neon-stripes along the tunnel to the posters lining the stairs. Foster, who also works on film and TV, wanted to provide clubbers with an alternative during the coronavirus lockdown. 42nd Street, also known as 42s, has been part of city’s club scene since it was purchased in the 1960s by Manchester United legend George Best....

BioWare is adding free post-launch DLC to Mass Effect: Andromeda’s digital retail editions. Including a multiplayer DLC pack and several skins, the post-launch DLC will be made available in May and will be available exclusively in Mass Effect: Andromeda’s digital special editions. Ahead of the CES trailer, BioWare releases new Mass Effect: Andromeda screenshots that highlight one of the new planets players will be able to visit as a Ryder twin. As we all know, Cyberpunk 2077 will release on December 10, 2021. For realsies this time. It’s happening and we all better be prepared for it. For gamers, that’s easy. Following a leak by The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee, GOG has confirmed that Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, and a Konami collection of classic Contra and Castlevania games are now available via their store. Of course, some fans will recall that Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 did previously appear on PC. Xbox has closed a loophole that allowed people subscribing to EA Play to get a heavy discount on Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox is going harder than ever when it comes to Game Pass in its attempts to be on a level playing field with PlayStation. Ever since Middle-earth: Shadow of War was revealed by way of an announcement trailer earlier this year, fans of the action-adventure franchise have been anxiously awaiting its arrival on store shelves. Eagle-eyed Minecraft players may have noticed a slight change to one of the game’s title screens. The most recent update for the Java version of the game removes a title screen shoutout to the often-controversial website 4chan. This title card has been in the game for over a decade, and Mojang Studios removed the shoutout with no warning or explanation. It has been over six years since Microsoft purchased Mojang, but until now players of Minecraft Java Edition have been logging in with credentials specific to Minecraft. That is all going to change very soon, and players will need to act or risk losing access to the game. All new players on Minecraft Java Edition will need to register with Microsoft accounts instead of Mojang accounts. All current Mojang and legacy account holders will be moved over to the new system in batches, starting in 2021....

Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone got a season six update just a few days ago and it brought with it a ton of new content to get your hands on. Don’t Forget Me, a jazz-punk adventure game about exploring memories, has just received its Steam debut - where the platform is currently offering a 10% discount - and emits a unique style to support its sci-fi premise. With Super Smash Bros. for Switch being showcased at E3 soon, many rumors and “leaks” are going to appear. Recently, a Reddit user named DasVergeben made some statements regarding the new Smash Bros. This is the same user with the information about “Star Fox Grand Prix.” According to his Reddit post, his source was also the first one to tell him about Metroid Prime 4 being developed by Bandai Namco. (This has yet to be confirmed by Nintendo....
