Microsoft officially confirms its press conference dates for E3 2017, and teases that more reveals are in store for its upgraded Xbox One console, Project Scorpio. Although E3 2017 isn’t going to happen until several months from now, Microsoft has decided to go ahead give its fans and the gaming industry at large the exact times as to when they should expect the tech giant to appear at the event, while also teasing that its press conference will offer new details on its forthcoming console code named Project Scorpio....

The contentious lawsuit between Epic Games and Apple continues to move forward, as Epic seeks to have Apple open its iOS “walled garden.” Yet today Epic found that it had a surprising ally come forward. Sunday morning Microsoft issued a statement of support for Epic with regards to one specific aspect of the ongoing back and forth. Specifically, Microsoft is standing with Epic about the necessity of the Unreal Engine on iOS after Apple threatened to take away Epic’s developer tools on the platform....

One Fallout 4 and film fan uses assets from the most recent entry in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG series to recreate the trailer for action flick Jason Bourne. Thanks to YouTuber Matt “UpIsNotJump” Hamlin, the short ad spot for the forthcoming Jason Bourne movie starring Matt Damon shown during this year’s Super Bowl now has a “remake” trailer of sorts with dialogue, setting, and characters for the film having been redone in Bethesda’s Fallout 4....

This April Fools’, Riot Games has announced its newest League of Legends champion, Pingu. For their prank this year Riot published a champion update on their website, detailing fake information on Pingu, a cuddly but deadly penguin champion that has been trapped in the Freljord ice for thousands of years. The Pingu update is surprisingly complete, with a full set of abilities and even a theme song. There’s even a set of (poorly drawn) ability breakdown videos, made up of paper puppets and voiced over in a monotone....

For news you probably didn’t expect to hear today, Adult Swim has greenlit a 10-episode run of Rick and Morty that’s entirely anime. “Adult Swim has announced a new spinoff series from its flagship comedy Rick and Morty. Takashi Sano (Tower of God) will direct Rick and Morty: The Anime, which will air on Adult Swim and HBO Max. Sano previously directed two anime shorts, Rick and Morty vs. Genocider and Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil), which earned over 10 million combined views on Adult Swim digital platforms....
