Microsoft finally revealed the console formerly known as Project Scorpio, Xbox One X, during its press conference at E3 2017. While gamers now know that the Xbox One X will arrive at retailers on November 7, 2017 for a suggested price of $499 USD, many have been wondering exactly when they’d be able to pre-order the SKU to ensure that they’ll be receiving one at launch. Evidently Microsoft hasn’t even locked that down, as Albert Penello, the head of marketing for Xbox, can only say that pre-orders will happen “later in the year....

Microsoft announces a massive digital game sale on Xbox Live that will run from December 22nd through January 7th, offering discounts on over 200 games. After the PlayStation 4 won the Black Friday battle with Xbox One, there’s precious little time for Microsoft to respond before the holiday sales season is complete. Along with dropping the price of the Xbox One to $300, Microsoft is also planning a significant game sale later this month....

The download size for Microsoft Flight Simulator has been cut down from +170GB to just about 83GB thanks to a new patch. How did the developers do it? All the patch notes said was that the team “performed some optimization for the initial full download of the title”. So we assume it’s magic. We’re not sure exactly what kind of optimization Asobo Studio has performed, but halving the total size of a game is no small feat....

A strange bug has surfaced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that is granting wins without even opening up the round. This is only one of many bugs that have spread throughout the game in recent updates. Modern Warfare has been battling bugs and glitches since its launch, adding this one on top of its recent to do list. It seems that the glitch is only applying to Modern Warfare Search and Destroy games....

Blumhouse Productions, the production house behind this week’s The Craft: Legacy, has announced the debut of a virtual event it’s calling “BlumFest.” Premiering at 10 AM PST on Thursday, October 29th, via Blumhouse’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, Blumfest will include exclusive interviews, surprise guests, cast panels, and new footage from some of Blumhouse’s upcoming releases. Notably, going off of what Blumhouse has released so far, this probably isn’t a live show....

Sony Pictures could soon be welcoming Keanu Reeves into its ever-growing Spider-Man universe. According to Illuminerdi, The studio has reportedly approached The Matrix star and formally offered him the role of Kraven the Hunter in his very own solo film; however, it remains unclear if Reeves will accept. Former reports indicate that director J.C. Chandor, who has helmed films such as Triple Frontier and A Most Violent Year, was in talks with Reeves on the project, simply named Kraven....

For all of the games or franchises that have confusing or nonsensical plotlines (See: Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, etc.), one in particular that’s often meme’d and criticized to death is Kingdom Hearts. To what degree the entire Kingdom Hearts’ timeline is confusing compared to its counterparts is up to debate, but there’s no denying how extremely convoluted the story is based on its original premise. Fans of the horror movie genre are likely familiar with Blumhouse Productions. The film production company has supplanted itself as a big name in the horror industry. Video game developer Bloober Team has revealed that it wants to be the next Blumhouse, but within the world of gaming. Bloober Team is the developer behind quite a few spine-tingling horror titles. The company first broke out in the genre with Layers of Fear, and currently is developing a title named The Medium....

Riot Games consistently produces some of the best in-game cosmetic skins out of any game currently on the market when it comes to their League Of Legends skin lines. There’s the Space Groove skin line where champions are turned into alien-esque amalgamations. There’s also the extremely popular PROJECT skin line where champions are turned into cyberpunk-inspired heroes (among many more). League Of Legends consistently releases new skins for players to collect and obtain....

Today, Tokyo based developer UNIVRS announced a release date for its upcoming VR racing game, Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing. The game is the latest entry in the anime-influenced series, and will be the first time that Little Witch will be playable in VR. The game will be coming to the Oculus Quest on October 13 of this year. But fans who have been unable to get their hands on an Oculus quest due to coronavirus related shortages won’t be completely out of luck....
