Lost Ark is breaking player count records, taking Twitch by storm, and leaving just about everyone who is out of the loop wondering how this MMOARPG became so popular so quickly. In recent years, we’ve seen games like Fall Guys, Among Us, and Splitgate seemingly come out of nowhere to take the industry by storm. While some of those titles end up staying on our radars for longer than others, each of them proved that it’s still very much possible for slightly smaller and relatively obscure games to make a name for themselves without the obvious benefits of a major franchise name, a huge marketing push, or any of the other niceties many Triple-A studios regularly get to work with....

When Madden NFL 21 released earlier in 2020, fans were initially up in arms at how the release was a graphical update and nothing more. Despite lacking new features wanted by players, however, the game was a top seller in August and EA has been releasing patches to steadily improve the experience. But yesterday, much of the community started experiencing a new type of problem. As of Friday morning, Madden players are having trouble signing into the game....

Pitching, Putters, Wedge, Lob, Duff… Golf, to me, could be an entirely alien language. I don’t know what a Birdie is - only Birdo - and the only time I’ve ever heard the words “Double Bogey” in person, I was prompted to wipe my nose. Even with E3 2019 set to kick off later today with Microsoft and Bethesda, preparations for the annual even began days before in and around Los Angeles. Part of the setup involved marketing advertisements set up on billboards, a few of which featured new information for some of E3 2019’s biggest games like the release and launch plans for Gears 5. A billboard for Marvel’s Avengers, one of Square’s bigger titles on display, also revealed some new information....

Microsoft Flight Simulator’s development is proceeding on schedule. The development team at Asobo is happy to report that Microsoft Flight Simulator development is ready for the next step forward, with that being the end of the sim’s alpha testing and the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator’s closed beta. According to a recent routine developer update, the closed beta for Microsoft Flight Simulator will go live on July 30. Alpha testers will be granted instant access to beta and a new wave of invites will go out to Xbox Insiders went out today....

When Microsoft demoed Kinect Star Wars during its E3 2011 Press Conference a collective groan rang out among the attendees. Despite an extremely brief teaser at E3 2013, Microsoft’s Killer Instinct reboot has become one of the most-talked about titles of the Xbox One launch - since the fighting game is relying on a progressive “free-to-play” model. The Xbox One may be lagging behind the PlayStation 4 when it comes to overall sales, but both current-gen systems have found relative success wherever they’ve launched. That is, except for Japan. The developers of Minecraft are spread across the world, each working on different versions of Minecraft, spin-off projects, or even new games. Today they together announced a new name, a new logo, and some new ideas. Introducing Mojang Studios, a reinvention of Mojang designed to better capture its modern form. The new Mojang Studios logo is put together with small objects that look almost like puzzle pieces. They’re called “mojangs,” which in Swedish means gadgets....

Mojang announces the release date for the upcoming live-action Minecraft movie, though fans eager to see the potential blockbuster will have to wait a long time to do so. Fans would be forgiven for forgetting that a Minecraft movie has been in the pre-production stage for some time now, with early reports of the production stemming almost three years back. However, the Mojang and Warner Brothers project is alive and well, and Mojang COO Vu Bui has now made an important announcement regarding the Minecraft movie: it finally has a release date set in stone....

The latest trailer for the third season of Killer Instinct confirms the return of Kim Wu, and teases the addition of Halo’s Arbiter to the fighting game’s roster. As the once-exclusive fighting title for the Xbox One, Killer Instinct has done a splendid job at keeping fans engrossed with a continued onslaught of additional content. The game’s developer, Iron Galaxy Studios, currently has plans to roll out a third season loaded with new fighters and stages, but it has kept rather mum outside of the previous announcement that Rash from Battletoads would be joining the fray as a guest character....

In League Of Legends, a Champion’s kit dictates how viable they will be in both competitive play and in ranked solo queue.
