Major League Baseball has announced on Friday that it will be hosting its first virtual baseball season with thirty MLB athletes. Players will face off in MLB The Show 20 on the PlayStation 4. In this virtual season there will be 29 three-inning games in April, and the top eight will advance to the playoffs. The top two teams will face off in the World Series! It’s fair to say that the players competing in these games are financially well off, so rather than play themselves for a personal cash prize, MLB has teamed up with the Major League Baseball Players Association and Sony Interactive Entertainment to donate a total of $175,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Canada....

MLB The Show is finally coming to platforms outside of PlayStation. While the baseball sim has been enjoyed on the PlayStation for quite some time, MLB The Show 21 will soon arrive on Xbox consoles as well. To prepare for that, a technical test is on the way. Albion Online, an MMORPG available on PC and mobile devices, has just released their latest update, Percival. Developed by Sandbox Interactive in Germany, the game was originally released with a free-to-play model during beta, before converting to a purchase-to-play title after launch. There were no monthly fees during this period, however microtransactions were available through the in-game market. A class-action lawsuit over alleged false advertising is reportedly seeking to stall Bethesda’s $7.5 billion sale to Microsoft. As reported by GamesBeat, in July 2019, the X-Law Group filed a lawsuit against Bethesda over the marketing of Fallout 4’s DLC Season Pass. The lawsuit seeks over $1 billion in damages. The X-Law Group has reportedly filed discovery documents, which would block Microsoft’s purchase of Bethesda if the sales means the company will shift its assets to a new legal entity and protect itself from liability....

The creative director of EA’s flagship football franchise, Madden, has announced via his Twitter feed that he is no longer an employee of the company.
