It’s an incredibly forgiving, inclusive time of year that can put a whole lot of things into perspective. The holidays might be all about togetherness and helping lost souls find each other, but Lethal Weapon is also a series where family is a gravely important element in the first place....

The release of limited edition collectible models alongside new video game releases has become a standard practice in the industry. This is often tied to pre-order editions of games, such as the Skyrim Collector’s Edition’s dragon statue. Most recently, details were released about the Collector’s Editions for Batman: Arkham Knight, one featuring a model of the Dark Knight himself, and the other of the Batmobile. It’s hardly surprising then, that 2K Games has revealed that Evolve will be subject to collectible statues....

Loki is coming to Fortnite’s Island, according to the official Twitter account. Although the god of trickery and mischief is hard to pin down, you can usually count on him to make a grand entrance. “It seems Mecha Cuddle Master wasn’t the only one who found their way to the Island,” wrote the Fortnite Twitter account earlier today. “Looks like a trickster snuck his way through the portal and into the Fortnite Crew this July....

Lady Sif showed up, proving that she didn’t become the Mark Brendanawicz of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The post-credits scene went all “Into the Loki-Verse:. Owen Wilson said, “How?” and it sounded as delightfully weird as when he says, “Wow!” But one of the bigger moments was the big revelation about the Time-Keepers....

Telltale Games is known for their strong story telling abilities, and The Walking Dead was a large stepping stone in building this reputation. The first season was a massive success, and the studio has been teasing fans about Season 2 ever since. Now that they’ve released the season 2 Trailer, it looks like the studio is ready for some even bigger teases to come out for The Walking Dead. The events of the second season of The Walking Dead take place chronologically after the events of the first, allowing for surviving characters to come back into the plot....

Every year, EA Sports releases a new entry in its long-running Madden NFL franchise, and 2020 is no different. The upcoming Madden NFL 21, with Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson gracing the cover, is set to deliver a familiar experience to NFL fans, while still offering some major on the field improvements. To get some feedback on some of the new features before the Madden NFL 21 release date rolls around in August, EA Sports recently hosted a closed beta, giving select players the chance to try the game ahead of launch....

Last year, Mafia 2: Definitive Edition leaked online, and now the game is finally available. From Mafia 3 developer Hangar 13, Mafia 2: Definitive Edition attempts to update the original Mafia 2 for modern consoles, and while there are undeniable enhancements, there are some things about the game that can’t really be fixed without a full-blown remake. Mafia 2: Definitive Edition is still largely the same game that launched a decade ago, and so a lot about it feels outdated....

Mario Kart Tour had better be careful because Kartrider Rush+ has just opened pre-registration. Most of you have probably never heard of Kartrider, the kart racing mobile franchise from Korean developer Nexon, but it’s a HUGE deal in Asia with over 300 million players worldwide. At least a quarter of Koreans have played a Kartrider game, and Nexon has partnered with big-name carmakers like BMW to bring exclusive cosmetics to the franchise....

The Ninja Tour has officially begun in Mario Kart Tour, adding new karts, gliders, and the new Ninja Hideaway track. There’s also a “Snap a Photo” challenge running on Twitter that will provide all players with coins based on the community’s participation. To join in on the “Snap a Photo” fun, you’ll need to take a Ninja-themed screenshot in Auto Mode or in Snap a Photo and share it on Twitter with the hashtag #NinjaHideaway....

In less than three months Marvel Studios will unveil The Avengers to the world when it kicks off the summer movie season in May. Traditionally, when such a large comic book film from Marvel hits theaters, there’s a video game to go along with it. The Amazing Spider-Man has a game on the way to tie-in with the film and previous Marvel Studios films (Iron Man 1 & 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America) all had games as well....

If there wasn’t video footage to back it up, it’d be easy to write off the first story details for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite as pure fan fiction. In a trailer launched today, audiences got a glimpse at the game’s main antagonist, and it was rather unexpected. In the spirit of joining franchises, a popular villain from Marvel and another infamous face from Capcom will be working together to take down the heroes and villains of both universes....

Game developer BioWare explains the reasoning behind its decision to reveal the female version of the hero first for its forthcoming action-RPG Mass Effect: Andromeda. During Electronic Arts’ E3 2016 press conference, the video game publisher officially revealed Mass Effect: Andromeda’s main character by way of a trailer for the forthcoming action-RPG. As with previous entries in the series, the new game will allow fans to play as either a man or a woman, but the title’s developer BioWare chose to diverge from the franchise’s past of having the release’s lead role of Shepard be portrayed in press and advertising as a male figure, by initially depicting the protagonist as a female known as Ryder....

Late last week, BioWare issued a statement telling players that it would be updating Mass Effect: Andromeda and improving many of the game’s major issues. Among those was a promise to fix many of the facial animation inconsistencies that were seen in the game, which caused some of the characters to appear lifeless/emotionless. Today, that update has arrived and we are happy to report that the results are quite staggering....

Throughout the first Mass Effect game, you have several companions that help you hunt down Saren. For each mission, you have to decide which two of them will make up your party. It’s rarely an easy choice as all six individuals are wonderful. Most select a team containing characters they like. For instance, Garrus is a popular choice for a litany of reasons. When it comes to the more difficult parts of the games, though, picking based on likeability might not be the smart way to go....

Mass Effect might be a role-playing game (RPG), but it sure doesn’t skimp on the combat. There are a variety of enemies to take on and each type has its own specializations, attack patterns, and weaknesses. Krogans love to charge, Asari prefer to use biotics, and machines have heavy armor that you’ll need to cut through. To help you combat the myriad of opponents you’ll discover, the first Mass Effect allows players to equip ammo upgrades that alter the kinds of rounds that you’re shooting at the enemy....
