It was pretty surprising when Koei Tecmo announced that the next patch for Dead or Alive 6 would be the game’s final update. Seemingly washing its hands of the poorly received fighter, the once-proud series was going out on a low note after pumping itself full of so much egregious DLC. Not content to simply let the game die unceremoniously, there is one final bit of DLC that will be available for the scantily clad brawler....
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance purports to combine the outlandish stories and characters of a Kojima Productions title with the balls-to-the-wall combat of a Platinum Games production. It is, in fact, thanks to Platinum that Revengeance is even seeing the light of day — Kojima initially scrapped the project but Platinum saw some viability in it. That being said, it’s still interesting to consider what Metal Gear Rising had looked like if Kojima did stay fully committed to the project, and not began work on Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes....
At the 90th Academy Awards (The Oscars) which took place over the weekend, Guillermo del Toro took home the trophy for Best Director for his work on The Shape of Water. That film also picked up the trophies for Best Picture, Best Original Score, and Best Production Design. Overall, the evening was pretty successful for del Toro. To congratulate the filmmaker on his big win, del Toro’s collaborator and friend, Hideo Kojima, took to Twitter....
While it’s entirely possible to beat Breath of the Wild without ever setting eyes on the Master Sword, true Zelda fans will undoubtedly seek out the weapon as soon as they can. The main quest won’t lead you to its location, so you’ll have to go out of your way to add it to your arsenal. It’ll take a bit of planning but acquiring the beloved Master Sword is a worthwhile task....

A new round of Madame Web set photos reveals Dakota Johnson with the character’s iconic white hair. “A new batch of photos from the set of Sony Pictures’ upcoming Spider-Man spinoff film Madame Web see lead actor Dakota Johnson sporting a new hairstyle for her role as the eponymous Marvel character. Shared to Twitter, the photos in question feature Johnson on the set of Madame Web in Boston. While the actor is seen wearing a hooded poncho, her curled, white hair is clearly visible, suggesting that she is indeed in-costume as the mysterious Madame Web herself....

Machine Games and Bethesda, most well-known for the recent Wolfenstein titles, recently announced they are making a game based on the Indiana Jones film franchise. The legendary seriese has been out of the spotlight for some years, with the last major work being 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. A fifth movie is also in the pipeline for a tentative 2022 release date, so it is safe to say cinema’s favorite archeologist is back....
Sadly, layoffs are an unfortunate reality in the gaming industry and beyond, with perhaps the shutdown of Telltale Games being the biggest to hit the gaming world recently. Now, it seems that it is being followed by Machinima, a prominent content creation channel back in the early days of YouTube, as the multi-channel network has begun laying off employees and ceased operations. Purchased by Warner Bros. in 2016, Machinima’s long run has ended with it being folded into Otter Media, which also runs notable media entities such as Crunchyroll, VRV, and Rooster Teeth....

Two weeks ago Piranha Games launched the first double XP event weekend for MechWarrior Online while also adding a few new light mechs for players to take onto the battlefield.
