The Krakoa/Arakko schism and Apocalypse’s role in it have been one of the enduring post-House of X/Powers of X mysteries. Now, it looks like we’re going to get some more answers. A recently released promotional piece by Marvel promises that in X-Men #12 (by X-mastermind Jonathan Hickman and artist Leinil Francis Yu), En Sabah Nur’s history with Arakko will be revealed. Apocalypse’s history with Krakoa, Arakko and Okkara was revealed in a flashback in Powers of X #4....

A user on Reddit has discovered what is likely to be the name of the Mass Effect: Andromeda protagonist, hidden away in the game’s recent N7 Day trailer. With players being very much kept in the dark with BioWare’s upcoming title, Mass Effect: Andromeda, fans of the series have taken matters into their own hands. Since Mass Effect: Andromeda’s reveal, BioWare has been careful to hold off on giving any details about the game, but the company did make an exception for their yearly holiday, N7 Day....

This past weekend saw the Overwatch League make its return to play after transitioning to an online format following week five. The new weekend of play saw a variety of comps due to the week eight hero pool which found Lucio, Soldier 76, Sombra, and Winston delegated to the bench. Mel Brooks has made a career out of poking fun at other filmmakers and the conventions they deploy. This sweet and largely underutilized form of parody was often done with love and affection, but it could still leave a mark. Microsoft Flight Simulator fans are getting a potentially exciting feature that is entering testing soon, according to the head of development for the popular airplane-themed game, Jorg Neumann. As revealed in a Q&A with the dev, a closed beta could start as soon as the end of this month. The 2020 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator has come a long way since the first entries to the series came out back in the 1980s....

Playing a musical instrument requires skill and patience, learning to understand how the instrument in question works, and how to use it to play and create melodies. What very few people have done however, is use a musical instrument to complete a video game. Enter You Tuber Jachael123, who has successfully used a MIDI keyboard to complete the sandbox game Minecraft. By binding the game’s controls to specific notes on the keyboard, Jachael123 was able to gradually learn how to hit trees, trade, fight, and eventually slay Minecraft’s final boss, the Ender Dragon....

Santa Monica Studio, the developer behind 2018’s God of War, is looking to hire some new blood. The studio is currently seeking candidates for some key positions on what appears to be an unannounced project. While it continues to work on the sequel to God of War, aptly titled God of War: Ragnarok, it seems to be ramping up its focus on this yet-to-be-revealed title. The studio took to Twitter the other day to announce its need for a lead writer on a new game....

People Can Fly, the studio behind 2011’s Bulletstorm, 2013’s Gears of War Judgement, and this year’s Outriders, has announced that it’s currently working on a brand new AAA game set to release on next-generation consoles. According to the developers, the release will be a “highly ambitious, groundbreaking action adventure title,” which feels right at home when compared to the studio’s portfolio of high-octane shooters. As for who’s behind the game, it will be overseen by two industry veterans, the first of which being the head of People Can Fly, David Grijns....

It took quite a bit of time, but Harmonix has finally confirmed what many gamers had suspected for several months already – Rock Band 4 is indeed coming. After announcing that the title will be arriving on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, gamers were immediately informed that all of their existing plastic peripherals that they’ve used for past entries in the series would be compatible with the new game. That is to say, all of the faux instruments with the exception of the keyboard and Pro Guitar....

So Borderlands is being made into a feature film, and it sounds freakin’ awful. Borderlands is a now-classic looter-shooter franchise that is just about to get its fourth game. Even though the game is called Borderlands 3, people always forget about Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and its many foibles. Borderlands is also, apparently, being developed into a major motion picture by Lionsgate Films. And we just found out that the screenplay reads like a disaster in slow motion....

There is no shortage of rumors and speculation relating to Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War but this is some information that you may want to take seriously. A prominent leaker is saying that the “Zeus” reveal (considered to be the working title of Cold War) will be taking place in the “Gulag area.” Little teasers have been piling up recently in Warzone relating to the upcoming Cold War game, including deconstructed RC-XDs found in some of the buildings in Warzone and visual glitches that feel very reminiscent of the brainwashing scenes of the original Black Ops....
