Unlike the earlier games in the Mass Effect series, players will no longer pick a class and go from there; from now on, skills can be allocated however desired and then players have the option of choosing a profile that adds bonuses to certain sets of skills instead....

McFarlane Toys officially announces the forthcoming release of its very own rendition of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s main character Ryder in figurine form. Since this week has contained a plethora of news concerning Mass Effect: Andromeda, including, but not limited to the reveal of a cinematic trailer, it’s safe to say that the hype surrounding BioWare’s forthcoming science fiction release is at an all-time high. With that being the case, McFarlane Toys is set to capitalize on the attention surrounding the title by announcing its creation of a figure based on the game’s human protagonist known as Ryder....

Following the recent release of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s “Golden Worlds” trailer, the Reddit user known as “red_badge_of_derp” had ears keen enough to catch a clue found within the video at the 2:10 mark, wherein there is a reference made to Habitat Five being a solid choice for the mission’s Quarian colonists. The extent of the Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer’s mentioning of Quarians is rather short, as it states, “For our Turian and Quarian colonists, Habitat Five appears to be a perfect home for dextro-protein life....

The superstar director is lending his talents to the video game industry, where his keen eye for high-intensity, adrenaline-pumping action will be seen in the next television commercial for Electronic Arts’ Need For Speed The Run. Starting today, fans of Need For Speed The Run can visit the game’s official Facebook page to unlock this one-of-a-kind trailer, which features in-game footage and the kind of heart-stopping action that only Bay himself could visualize....

With E3 2019 rapidly approaching, things may be a little different this year than fans are used to. The biggest reason is that Sony previously announced that the company would not be attending the event this year, leaving Microsoft and Nintendo as the remaining hardware representatives. Microsoft has gone on quite the acquisition spree in the last few years, buying and supporting several development studios under the Xbox Game Studios umbrella. At first things were slow, but eventually Xbox would expand out to the likes of Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, Double Fine, and several more. Today, Xbox spreads its influence even further with the acquisition of Bethesda and the overarching Zenimax Media. It’s not just Nintendo that is having drift issues. Microsoft’s Xbox controllers are also taking heat from angry gamers that are finding themselves turning left or right even when their thumbs aren’t on the thumbstick. So angry, in fact, that one of them has even filed suit in US District Court. The lawsuit was initially filed last April and has recently been amended to include not just the regular Xbox One controller but also the Xbox Elite Series 1 & 2, Microsoft’s high-end controllers with replaceable metal components and additional buttons on the back....

Kevin Gammill, Microsoft’s general manager for gaming, has drafted a statement that verified Microsoft’s support of Epic Games in the matter of Apple’s threat to remove Epic from its developer program. “If Unreal Engine cannot support games for iOS or macOS, Microsoft would be required to choose between abandoning its customers and potential customers on the iOS and macOS platforms or choosing a different game engine when preparing to develop new games,” reads a section of the statement....

It looks like Kerbal Space Program 2 won’t be seeing liftoff anytime soon. After announcing a delay earlier this year to Fall of 2021, Intercept Games has just come out and said that now the Kerbal Space Program sequel won’t be coming out until sometime in 2022. Last time, it was due to COVID-19. Intercept Games let everyone know that their transition to work from home wasn’t going quite as smoothly as they would have liked, and that resulted in delays....

Kingdom Hearts 3 publisher Square Enix is also finding itself in a bind following the arrest of Pierre Taki, The prominent Japanese voice actor was arrested earlier this week on drug charges (allegedly cocaine use) and has forced several projects to make changes. In a new press release, Square Enix confirmed that it will be replacing Taki as the voice of Olaf in Kingdom Hearts 3. While the character only appears briefly in the game’s Frozen world, the intent is to distance itself from Taki....

A new girl is joining Kirito’s harem in Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. Bandai Namco has recently updated Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris the most recent video game based on the popular light novel and anime series of the same name. The update, entitled Version 1.03, has added new content, including a brand new character who might be familiar to fans of J-Pop music. ReoNa is a popular Japanese singer who sings the opening “Anima” for the currently airing fourth season of the Sword Art Online anime, entitled Alicization War of the Underworld....

It’s-a me, more updates on Super Nintendo World in Japan! Super Nintendo World is an extension of several Universal Studio theme parks; locations will include Osaka, Orlando, and Hollywood. These additions have been in the works since the deal was made back in 2015, but construction and therefore opening dates have been delayed due to the pandemic. The theme parks will include some of the darlings of the Nintendo world, with Mario almost certainly working as the Mickey Mouse-like face of the park....

LawBreakers, the new multiplayer shooter from former Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski, launched this week on PC and PS4. The game promises fast-paced, ‘gravity defying combat’ that isn’t afraid to get bloody and includes plenty of curse-words too. But unfortunately for all of the hype and the promotion, which included giving some of YouTube’s most influential content creators hands-on time with the game at E3, LawBreakers has failed to make much of an impact....

Today it was announced that Gun Media, the publisher behind Friday the 13th: The Game, and Bloober Team, developers of the Layers of Fear franchise, are collaborating on an upcoming game. The announcement came in the form of a short trailer, titled Project Méliès, that offered very little as to what the game would be about. The backgrounds of both studios, however, suggest it might be another horror title. The only clues are what can be gleaned from the trailer, which seem to indicate the game will take place on the ocean or beneath its waves....

Gary, the comic relief sidekick who gets retconned this episode to have been an alien infiltrator, has explained his whole backstory to the abducted Sara Lance, who wakes up on an alien spaceship just in time to see it hyperdrive away from Earth from a rear window....

While The Skywalker Saga expands the LEGO Star Wars series in several fascinating ways, one of the game’s best new features has to be the addition of a skill tree and a class upgrade system. Granted, The Skywalker Saga‘s skill tree system isn’t exactly as deep as the ones found in most modern games, but the LEGO Star Wars games were never exactly that difficult to begin with. Instead, the various class upgrades you’ll find in The Skywalker Saga help add a little flavor to the game’s combat and allow you to feel a sense of progression that goes beyond simply working your way through each episode’s story and hunting collectibles....
