Mass Effect: Andromeda lead designer Ian S. Frazier shares some new information about the game, offering up interesting details about conversation options and gameplay mechanics. We’re not far away from the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda, but there are many aspects of the game that we still don’t know all that much about. Fortunately, lead designer Ian S. Frazier has taken to Twitter to answer some questions from fans. Dialogue options were a crucial component of the original Mass Effect trilogy, and this mechanic will return for Andromeda....

Another two weeks have passed by and so another Mass Effect 3 N7 Bounty Weekend is coming this weekend. BioWare shared the official details on the upcoming multiplayer event on their official blog, labeling this one Operation Savage. Unlike the June 8th-10th Operation Mastiff - an event that went under the radar thanks to E3 - which required players take advantage of the new Mass Effect 3 multiplayer characters and mission objective that came with the Rebellion DLC pack, Operation Savage gives the community a simpler objective of killing the basic enemies, and lots of them....

Mass Effect Andromeda featured a variety of new systems that iterated on preexisting ones from the series’ original trilogy. For example, a lot of work was put into developing the Nomad, a land vehicle designed for traversing rough terrain on certain planets. Given the amount of flak directed at the first Mass Effect game’s Mako, which handled like an anti-gravity go-kart with two missing wheels, the improvements to the Nomad were warmly welcomed by many players....

Medal of Honor has long been a FPS franchise in need of a revival, and the good news is that that revival is just a few months away, thanks to Respawn Entertainment’s VR-exclusive Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond. Fans have known that the game would launch this holiday season, but this week Facebook and Oculus were finally able to set an exact release date: December 11. Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has been working on his vision for a Metal Gear Solid movie for a few years now, but most of the details have been kept secret. While we still aren’t quite sure about a lot of what Vogt-Roberts has planned for his Metal Gear Solid film adaptation, we now know he wants the movie to have an R rating. Vogt-Roberts revealed as much in a recent interview, where he expressed a desire retain the franchise’s brutality in the film version....

Building on that, developer 4A Games has showcased a new trailer focused on the weapons Artyom will use in the post-apocalyptic Russian wasteland, as he deals with the issues of both a nuclear winter and terrifying, mutated monsters. Microsoft recently rolled out a new driver via Windows Update, although things didn’t quite go as planned. After installing “Advanced Micro Devices, Inc - SCSIAdapter - 9.3.0.221,” many AMD users ended up with bricked systems and were unable to boot their computer. Microsoft has since pulled the driver from Windows Update and a workaround is now available to help those still impacted by the faulty driver. The driver problems began late last week – primarily impacting Gigabyte X570 rigs – with Microsoft stepping in and resolving the issue over the weekend....

There’s no feeling more rewarding than finding valuable loot in Minecraft, and for top tier loot, any player should head straight over to the End, where rare End Cities will carry incredible enchanted iron and diamond-grade gear. Capcom officially announced Resident Evil 8, officially called Resident Evil Village, at Sony’s PlayStation 5 event in June. Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke is set to appear in the Knightmare sequence in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Last year, it was reported that Manganiello participated in reshoots for the Snyder Cut and will be sporting a different look than seen in the theatrical version, but fans still wonder what the future holds for the DC villain. The actor first played Slade Wilson/Deathstroke in a post-credits scene in 2017’s Justice League. In the brief scene, Deathstroke and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) discussed teaming up and creating a league of their own....

In a surprising announcement, THQ Nordic is releasing a remastered version of Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning. Not only that, but the strange and unpredictable company plansto release a mysterious expansion sometime in 2021. Reckoning was the sole game produced by 38 Studios before it shuttered in 2012. The game had developed a cult following in spite of the fact that it would receive no further support, expansions, or sequels of any kind....

A multi-million dollar lawsuit has been concluded between Take-Two Software and Solid Oak Sketches regarding the use of tattoos on NBA 2K athletes. Solid Oak Sketches is responsible for tattooing NBA stars, Lebron James, Kenyon Martin and Eric Bledsoe. The lawsuit was ruled in favor of Take-Two Software, meaning NBA 2K will not have to remove tattoos or be punished for the depiction. Solid Oak Sketches filed the lawsuit, claiming that it owned the rights to the art tattooed on the three players....

New details from the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga have been revealed in this month’s Official PlayStation Magazine, including the number of playable and non-playable characters. According to Dawn McDiarmid, lead hub designer at TT Games, The Skywalker Saga will feature about 800 unique characters, 300 of which will be playable. McDiarmid also confirmed that many of those characters come from the new Star Wars trilogy, including fan-favorite Babu Frik....

Earlier this week, actor Leonard Nimoy passed away after checking himself into the hospital a few days prior. The beloved Star Trek star was 83. Already there has been a huge outpouring of fan support for Nimoy - who most famously portrayed the character of Spock for Star Trek - including a “Live Long and Prosper” hash tag across all of social media. Nimoy may have been an icon amongst geeks and nerds most especially, but his legacy reaches much farther than that....
