With Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order releasing in less than a week’s time, some players may be frustrated to learn that the DLC content will only be obtainable in a complete bundle through the $19.99 USD Expansion Pass. At this June’s E3, Nintendo seemed eager to discuss its DLC plans for the game. With there having been a long-promised Steam release, the announcement that Metro Exodus will be offered exclusively via the Epic Games Store on PC has resulted in quite a controversy. HDR is a great new feature that improves a screen’s color and brightness range. Darks appear darker, brights appear brighter, and you don’t have to worry about your colors bleaching out after every wash cycle. Wait, sorry, that’s what is written on the back of my laundry detergent. HDR does do a lot of the same things, though, but for TVs and computer monitors. Better, brighter, bolder colors and visuals....

It’s no secret that the Pokemon GO mobile game has been a huge hit for developer Niantic and The Pokemon Company, so much so that many are attempting to replicate its success. Doom fans might not have to wait too long before they can rip and tear again. In a very odd strategy by Bandai Namco, a demo of a new beat-em-up, co-op brawler Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle popped up on the show floor of this year’s New York Comic-Con with absolutely no official announcement from its publisher beforehand....

An initial report suggested Nintendo sold 4.2 million Switches in March of this year. On closer examination, it seems that really was too good to be true. Nintendo’s most successful non-handheld console ever was the Wii, which sold more than 100 million units. However, the company failed to ride that wave of momentum into its next generation. Its follow-up console, the Wii U, sold less than 15 million units, Nintendo’s worst-selling console ever, not including the classic versions of the NES and SNES....

With Capcom having unveiled Monster Hunter: World by way of its first trailer during Sony’s E3 2017 press conference, fans of the action-RPG franchise have understandably been excited to see the forthcoming title release for current generation platforms. Now, in order to give would-be Hunters an even better idea of what kind of content the game will contain, the publisher and developer has released nearly 23 minutes of guided gameplay footage detailing the title’s Ancient Forest area....

Much like the mushroom delivery quest from a few weeks back, Monster Hunter World has added a new event quest for the week that will help players with tempered investigation collection. But what makes this one so notable is that it is focused on helping players collected tempered elder dragon investigations. The Monster Hunter World event quest is called “Tracking the Delivery,” and it has players exploring the Elder’s Recess looking for Beryl Deposits....

Most Animal Crossing players have a list of favorite villagers that they want to live on their islands. Opportunistic people and scalpers have taken advantage of that fact, and have made a profit off of the Animal Crossing black market. One scalper in Japan was interviewed about reselling amiibo cards and scalping Nintendo products in general. In the interview, the scalper talks about the shortages of the Nintendo Switch and the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch....

At the culmination of The Last of Us’ story, Joel and Ellie seemingly ended their journey after escaping the Fireflies. The two made it safely to Jackson, despite the uncertainty between them. While a cure to the Cordyceps infection potentially could have been found at the Firefly hospital, Joel deemed it not worth the risk of losing Ellie. Even the Fireflies leader Marlene tried to stop Joel from taking Ellie away, believing that a cure was possible....

Steam users that continue to avoid purchasing games via the Epic Games Store have another title coming to the storefront soon. Next up is Typhoon Studios’ first-person adventure game Journey to the Savage Planet. Journey to a Savage Planet was originally released on January 29, 2020, on PC but was exclusive to the Epic Games Store. It seems that Epic Games Store exclusivity window is coming to an end, as Journey to the Savage Planet will launch on Steam starting January 28....

The Nintendo Switch turned two years old this month, and for many, that’s a chance to look back and celebrate the console’s many successes. It keeps breaking sales records, leading many to believe that it will one day match the insane numbers achieved by the Wii. It put Nintendo back into the industry spotlight, which led to an unexpectedly close relationship with Microsoft. It even brought indie support back to Nintendo, something that many thought the Wii U destroyed....

Koch Media, the owners of Deep Silver and therefore Saints Row, Dead Island and Maneater, is hosting a live stream for Summer Game Fest called Koch Primetime. The event was announced via the Summer Game Fest Twitter account, which revealed that Koch Primetime will debut on June 11 and will air at 12am PT/ 3pm ET/ 8pm BST. Koch Media has several different games and franchises underneath it that could potentially show up at the live stream, although there are a few safe bets for games that will be included....
