Nintendo has finally revealed the release date for Luigi’s Mansion 3. Luigi’s latest spooky endeavor was announced back in September, and brings Mario’s brother to a hotel this time around. The third Luigi’s Mansion is bringing some new features to the series. Gooigi, a character who appears in the Luigi’s Mansion 3DS port, is returning as a notable character. Gooigi is utilized to reach areas Luigi can’t, and help solve puzzles....

The second beta for Marvel’s Avengers just launched this weekend with some players able to access the beta a bit earlier then scheduled. The content of the beta is largely the same, leading to some concerns from players that developer Crsytal Dynamics wants to lay to rest. As Marvel’s Avengers speeds towards its rapidly approaching September release, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have started revealing more and more about the game. Following the oldest adage in video game recruitment, the 19-year-old Idaho native recently finished up work on ‘Falskaar,’ an extensive story-based modification intended to land him a job with series creator Bethesda. A veteran of countless successful mod teams, Velicky won GamingNexus’ Mod of the Month competition on two separate occasions before finally turning his attentions to the Falskaar project....

It’s no secret that the Xbox One launched without all of the functionality that Microsoft had envisioned for the new age of console gaming and home entertainment. The company surveyed users early and often and started rolling out a series of monthly software updates to constantly improve the console. Thanks to these frequent updates, the console earned the Product of the Year award in 2014. Nearly one and a half years later, the updates are still arriving on a regular basis....

It’s no secret that the Xbox One’s sales have struggled to keep up with the PlayStation 4’s. At the beginning of the console’s lifecycle, would-be buyers were turned off by the always-online requirement (which Microsoft nixed before launch due to the backlash) as well as the mandatory Kinect add-on which made the console $100 more expensive than its rival. Microsoft has since tried hard to get the Xbox One back into consumer’s good graces, offering standalone Xbox One consoles without Kinect....

Facial recognition is already making phones, gaming hardware, and software applications more convenient to access and use. Being able to simply look at a phone to unlock it instead of entering a password seems like a benign convenience, but Microsoft’s president is warning that the technology could develop into something catastrophic to humanity on a large scale. Microsoft President and Chief Legal Officer Brad Smith spoke with an increasingly cautionary tone after being asked about the sale of facial recognition software at Web Summit in Portugal....

The popular Major League Baseball sim has been exclusive to PlayStation consoles since its inception in 2014. However, in a surprising move, Sony is bringing its exclusive game to Microsoft systems, as MLB The Show 21 will be available on Xbox in just a few month’s time....

Originally released in 2004, the Japanese third-person puzzle-action video game Katamari Damacy, went on to become quite the sleeper hit, leading to a series of successful sequels. The first game was eventually followed by an HD remaster called Katamari Damacy Reroll for PCs and the Nintendo Switch back in 2018 and now, it looks like a physical release of the remastered game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is on its way....

The Kingdom Hearts franchise needs no introduction. As someone who grew up alongside Sora, Kairi, and Riku and joined in on their adventures - as convoluted and confusing as they were - and being the massive fan of Disney that I am, I have an incredibly fond place in my heart for the series. I’ve played all of the games that have made their way to a PlayStation console (only missing out on Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance that was only available on Nintendo 3DS)....
