Prolific voice-over artist, Courtenay Taylor, discusses performing her parts for Fallout 4 and describes Bethesda’s forthcoming sequel as an ‘action movie with heart’. After recording over 13,000 lines of dialogue throughout a 2 year period as Fallout 4’s lead female protagonist, it’s safe to assume that voice actress Courtenay Taylor is extremely familiar with the story to the upcoming entry in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic franchise. Aside from Fallout 4, Taylor has done some work for the series before in Fallout: New Vegas, but during a recent interview, she said that the studio’s production skills have taken the game to a “new level” with it feeling like an “action movie with heart”....

Partway through its fourth episode, the original Life is Strange turns into an engaging detective game. The team of Max and Chloe gather up all of their evidence to try to figure out the dark plot surrounding Blackwell and Arcadia Bay. Part of their investigation requires getting access to Nathan Prescott’s phone. This is where your problem-solving skills come in handy as you have to find a way to unlock the device....

Little Nightmares 2 just got a new gameplay trailer today at Gamescom 2020, where fans got a nice look at what the upcoming title has in store for players. The gameplay trailer showed off a ton of new, disturbing locations from a spooky forest, to dark alley ways, to a haunted train. There were plenty of scary foes that fans got a peek at as well, from a reanimated severed hand, to living dolls and even straight-up ghosts....

The Rankin/Bass Hobbit film is seriously underrated these days, and there is good stuff in the two films based on The Lord of the Rings as well. The performances are mostly pretty good, especially John Hurt as Aragorn in Bakshi’s film. The attack on The Prancing Pony in Bree, the Black Riders chasing Frodo across the countryside, and the dramatic Battle of Helm’s Deep are all impressive sequences. Gollum/Smeágol’s debate with himself is also well done, and a clear influence on Jackson’s films....

It’s Moon Knight, but not quite as we know him! Fans of the Marvel Comics version of MK have been intrigued to discover this week that in the cult superhero’s upcoming Disney+ series, the story will initially center on one of the character’s alternate identities, Steven Grant, when the show arrives this March. In the first official trailer for Moon Knight, Steven (Oscar Isaac) is not the millionaire playboy of the comics, but a humble and bafflingly British gift shop employee who has a “sleeping disorder” and might get up to some unwelcome night time activities unless he ties himself to his bed in an effort to stay put....

It’s hard to fathom how far games have come visually in the past forty or so years. But one series may have come further than any since originally launching in 1976 - Microsoft Flight Simulator. In many spots, the game genuinely looks like real life, as Microsoft Flight Simulator has evolved into a visual spectacle. Previously planned to launch on August 22, Middle-earth: Shadow of War has been delayed by Warner Bros. to give the open world action game more time in development. Shadow of War will now launch on October 10, leading into this year’s holiday season. The Middle-earth: Shadow of War team at Monolith Productions apologized for the delay, but promised that fans will be pleased with the results: Although Warner Bros. does not hold its own press conference, sans should expect to see Shadow of War pop up in at least one console manufacturer keynote, likely Sony’s PlayStation 4 keynote on Monday, June 12....

Minecraft’s defining characteristic, that sets it apart from other sandboxes, is the boundless amount of possibilities it endows players with. If you can think it, you can build it. Someone even made a functioning Death Star (using no mods) in the game, believe it or not. As the best-selling game of all time, its formula has to be extremely resonant with most players. On April 14, Mojang announced that 1.17 Minecraft update, Caves and Cliffs, would be split into two parts and delayed. This update is bringing a new variety of blocks and mobs, and well as new biomes and updated world generation. Unfortunately, we have to wait a bit longer to fully experience it. The 1.17 update was first announced in October 2020 as part of the Minecraft Live event. Mojang unveiled their newest update with a release date of Summer 2021....

In my house resides a family of gamers. There are five of us in total; myself, my husband, and our three children. As a family, we own about ten copies of Minecraft. That alone should tell you how much it is adored. It started off with an Xbox copy, then a PC version. Over time we’ve also purchased copies for newer consoles. Then, as the children got older and gained access to computers of their own, we expanded our PC copies so we all had one each and the family server was born....

Most Metal Gear Solid fans say that Metal Gear Solid 2 had a story that was too convoluted and they didn’t really like Raiden as a character. The same convoluted criticism can be leveled at the plot of Metal Gear Solid 4, plus fans just didn’t really jive with Old Snake’s crotchety disposition. Not that you could blame Old Snake for being crotchety after finding out he’d die in a year because he was a poorly-made clone....
