With Konami seeming to have shelved Metal Gear Solid for the time being, fans may feel they have been left high and dry without any new content since The Phantom Pain. However, it looks like an event being hosted by Celebrity Talent Booking may scratch the Metal Gear itch for any players that want to see more around the franchise, especially from a behind-the-scenes perspective. Announced by Sniper Wolf voice actress Tasia Valenza on Twitter, this event seems to be bringing in some high-profile names from the franchise....

Although there are plenty of brand new titles to play on the recently released PS4 and Xbox One consoles, there is always demand for the option to revisit classics. Some games make their way onto the new consoles with HD remakes, like Tomb Raider and (hopefully) Halo 2, but many others aren’t quite as lucky, with developers often times opting to release titles for the previous-gen consoles and their larger player bases....

One of the most exciting traditions DC FanDome is developing is to blast out huge announcements about new Milestone projects, and this year has one of the best: Brandon Thomas, writer behind a whole crate of Aquaman comics (including the critically beloved Black Manta series with artist Chuck Brown) and the hit relaunch, Hardware Season One, has penned an animated feature based in Milestone home Dakota City. “This has been the thing that Milestone fans have been dreaming about for a long time, and we’re happy to give it to you, finally,” said legendary artist, Milestone co-founder, and Hardware Season One artist Denys Cowan during the publishing line’s FanDome panel....

That’s right, in its quest to be absolutely everywhere ever, Minecraft is now taking over the classrooms of our schools. Ah, Minecraft. The humble little title was originally released way back in November 2011, and nobody could really have predicted what a phenomenon it would become. Rather than cutting-edge visuals or throwing all the teraflops it has into looking as flashy as possible, Minecraft doesn’t look like very much at all....

Minecraft is the game that just will not die, with popular content updates being a large part of why Mojang has kept the game a success for so long. With well-received patches for all Minecraft fans like the Nether Update a few months back, Mojang has now turned its attention to the PlayStation 4 platform and, more specifically, PlayStation VR. While PlayStation VR’s current version may not be strong enough to run games like Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, it is still nice to see some support for Sony’s first foray into VR technology....

MLB The Show 21 continues the popular baseball franchise this year, though there are some changes from previous iterations. Chief among what San Diego Studio is offering in MLB The Show 21 is that this year’s version isn’t a PS4/PS5 exclusive. Xbox One and Xbox Series X players will be able to get their hands on this franchise for the first time. If users are looking for a ton of other additions to 2021’s iteration, though, they might be a bit disappointed....

Imitation is said to be the highest form of flattery as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans cosplay characters from both the modern game and previous installments. These Modern Warfare fans have put careful time and energy, and sometimes budgeting, into dressing up as their favorite characters. This selection is only a small portion of a much larger cosplay community. Fans of the game continue to evolve their outfits with every skin and character release creating realistic depictions of fan-favorite characters....

Just Dance 2022 is coming to all consoles November 4, and will feature 40 new songs. The new trailer featured Todrick Hall, who announced that his latest song Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels will feature in the game. Other artists showcased in the latest instalment include Ciara and Haliee Steinfeld. As part of the announcement, Todrick Hall also explained that he is collaborating with the Just Dance team to bring an exclusive version of the song to the game....

Some weeks after the passing of longtime host and icon Alex Trebek, Sony Pictures Television has finally announced who will be taking his placed, at least for the time being. The interim host for Jeopardy! will be, as many predicted/hoped, will be Ken Jennings, one of the most famous contestants to ever appear on the show. While Trebek had reportedly continued filming the show up until his passing, Jennings will start hosting when new episodes begin production towards the end of November....

As the 2020 holiday season draws closer, so do the release of many new games that will be included on next gen consoles like the PS5. One of these games is Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and while many gamers might buy the game on PS4 before upgrading their console, they won’t have to worry about paying for the game’s upgrade as well. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is one of the games that was revealed during the PS5 showcase, and while many believed that it would be a PS5 exclusive, it was later revealed that the action-adventure RPG would also be available to play on the PS4 and PC as well....

There’s little doubt that 2020 has been a phenomenally bad year. Fires have enveloped half of California and Australia, Asian murder hornets have invaded the Pacific Northwest, and to top it all off, there’s a global pandemic that’s upended the entire global economy and delayed quite a few games too....

The puzzle-adventuring aspects remain, so there’s plenty of fun to be had for all the family, while the inclusion of each episode of the three Star Wars trilogies almost makes for nine games in one, so it’s great value for money, too....

The first poster for I Am Groot takes us back to the days of Baby Groot and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. “It’s been nearly a full decade since the original Guardians of the Galaxy film blessed us with Groot, the talking tree man voiced by Vin Diesel who can only say three (well, technically four) words. Though Groot later sacrificed himself in that movie and has since re-grown up to the point of being a teenager by the time Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame come around, it was Guardians 2‘s sickeningly cute Baby Groot that stuck with folks....

An Australian survey finds that gamers who buy loot boxes are more likely to be problem gamblers. The study is part of growing research into the topic of video game loot boxes with a survey from June finding that more than two-thirds of gamers think that loot boxes are gambling. The CQUniversity, Australia’s Experimental Gambling Research Laboratory (EGRL) for the NSW Government Responsible Gambling Fund, has put together a survey looking at the hypothesis that loot boxes are “grooming” young people for gambling....

The Los Angeles Gladiators continue to make moves this offseason after announcing they have signed Jin-seo “Shu” Kim following his release from the Guangzhou Charge. Shu is presumably set to start at flex support, the first time the Gladiators will be without Jonas “Shaz” Suovaara heading into the 2021 Overwatch League season. Shu spent the last two seasons with the Guangzhou Charge and was a strong presence at the flex support position....
