2K Games has delayed the release of Mafia: Definitive Edition to September 25 due to complications from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In a post on Twitter, developer Hangar 13 gave a lengthy explanation of the expectations it has for the remake and how it doesn’t want to mess up this opportunity to revisit a classic. “Though we’d originally planned to release the game one month earlier on August 28,” reads the tweet, “finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience....

This all began two weeks ago when Notch (real name: Markus Persson) received a legal letter in the mail from Bethesda’s lawyers, claiming that his indie studio’s next game, titled Scrolls, infringes on the trademark of Bethesda’s flagship franchise, The Elder Scrolls....

They’re back! Series creators IO Interactive are developing Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days and it’s set for release next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Square Enix made the announcement today and stated that it will be published by their Eidos subsidiary in 2010 and promising that they will present a great new experience “inspired by documentary filmmakers and the user-generated era.” I’m not quite sure what it means, but I’m legitimately excited for a new Kane and Lynch....
