In a week that has been less than smooth, Mass Effect: Andromeda is finally out on store shelves, letting players finally explore the Andromeda galaxy. In an effort to continue to keep the multiplayer community strong, BioWare has added its first post-launch APEX mission which adds a new class, in-game items, and is centered around a lost scout team headed up by Nakmor Drack. According to the press release, the Krogan have lost contact with a number of their patrols around the newly added map, Firebase Paradox....

The Mass Effect series is known for a lot of things: sweeping drama, emotional personal stories, and high caliber action to name a few. But the saga of Commander Shepard isn’t all tragedy and triumph. Even when the galaxy is ending, there’s plenty of comedy to lighten the mood. The Hearthstone Masters Tour has become the most recent event to see a change due to increasing concerns over the potential spread of the coronavirus. While Masters Tour stops frequently draw top players from all over the globe at a central location, Blizzard has decided that the next tournament will instead be online-only. This is the second change that has been made to the event. Stealth and open-world have never really merged together successfully in the video game industry until Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain proved the world wrong back in 2015. Post-apocalyptic first-person shooter Metro Exodus is one of the most anticipated games of 2018. The game will bring survival horror and stealth gameplay to PC and consoles later this year, and in the run-up to that release, developer 4A Games has been shedding more light on what fans can expect. This latest drop of information comes via a new interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine UK (Issue #145, February 2018). Metro Exodus executive producer Jon Bloch reveals that it will be much bigger than previous games in the series in several ways....

The greatest strength of Microsoft’s current gaming strategy is the effort that’s gone into synergy. The interconnectivity between Xbox platforms and services is unparalleled in the industry. The Xbox Game Pass and xCloud game services, in particular, are growing rapidly. As such, it makes sense that Microsoft is continuing to focus on improving those services over time. The latest example to be announced is a plan to upgrade xCloud to begin delivering 1080p game streaming....

What do you imagine when you think of the Nintendo headquarters in Kyoto, Japan? Monster Crown has just received a brand new update. The Pokemon-like game, which is currently in Early Access, Monster Crown received its first update last month, and included online monster trading, NET Eggs, and the “Move Learner.” Today’s update adds more features and content. Monster Crown is already a big success on Steam, as there seems to always be an appetite for Pokemon style games. Studio Aurum’s monster taming RPG, Monster Crown allows players to explore a big word, fight, breed, capture, and fuse over 200 base monster variations, compete against other people, and make difficult decisions in fighting against evil....

Bandai Namco has confirmed that the recent Jump Force leaks were legit and that Giorno Giovanna from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Yoruichi from Bleach are coming to the game, though Giorno is still being worked on as we speak and might be different at launch. Jump Force is a crossover fighting game with characters who have appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump comics. These include Goku from Dragon Ball, Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece, and Naruto....

As many fans eagerly await the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League next month, Snyder himself is already looking ahead to his next project. The director himself has stated that he is currently working on a “faithful” new version of the King Arthur legend. While speaking to the I Minutemen about the upcoming release of Justice League, Snyder was asked about his desire to tackle medieval or mythological movies. The director confirmed his interest and went on to say, “I’ve been thinking about some kind of retelling, like, [a] real sort of faithful retelling of that Arthurian mythological concept....

Once upon a time Kevin Smith had a dream to make a Krampus movie—a horror anthology film based around the anti-Santa Claus monster of Germanic folklore. But then Michael Dougherty went and made Krampus in 2015, so Smith had to improvise. Luckily this is the guy who made Clerks for $28,000—being creative with resources is kind of in his wheelhouse. Thus began the genesis of Killroy Was Here, an all-original horror movie that looks to be very much in the vein of one of Smith’s previous cult chillers, Tusk....

The newest King of Fighters 15 announcement has been postponed. Fans were expecting a reveal for SNK’s fighter, along with information for Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3, but that announcement will now come at a later time and date. Both King of Fighters 15 and Samurai Shodown are fighting franchises by SNK, a game developer known for its time on the NEO GEO that specialized in beat ’em ups and fighting games....

Earlier today, Square Enix made an announcement via a press release about the opening theme song for their upcoming RPG Kingdom Hearts 3. Iconic Japanese singer Utada Hikaru will, of course, be returning to work on it, having created the opening songs for both Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, but she will be joined by the American DJ Sonny John Moore AKA Skrillex. Many fans had assumed that Hikaru’s latest track, Don’t Think Twice (titled Chikai in Japanese), would be Kingdom Hearts 3’s main theme, since it has been used frequently in almost every trailer for the title but, as it turns out, that’s not the case and it will serve as the ending theme....

Popular streamer and people’s champion Kitboga had one of his most incredible prank calls of all time today when he managed to keep a scammer on the phone for over 5 hours. The call began as a typical refund scam, as Kitboga often features on his stream, but once the streamer realized who he was dealing with, all bets were off and viewers were treated to a marathon call of epic proportions....

An all-new Fall Guys update has landed this week which will increase a player’s chances of finding themselves competing in one of season two’s new Medieval rounds. Just when you thought the Fall Guys hype train was starting to slow, Mediatonic launched season two and ramped it right back up again. I could start a pretty substantial ramble about how great of a game Life Is Strange is. From complex character relationships to the extraordinary indie soundtrack, Life Is Strange checks every box in what I look for in a narrative driven game. But by far, the best part about this game is how it handles choices—the consequences of your decisions are not always immediately apparent, much like how they aren’t in real life....

Indie studio Lince Works recently debuted a video developer diary series covering its work on the ninja stealth action games Aragami and Aragami 2. Dev Diary #1 - Creating a Franchise is the first entry in the video series, and can be seen on Lince Works’ YouTube channel. Barcelona, Spain-based Lince Works established itself in 2014, and released its first video game Aragami in 2016. Aragami is a Tenchu-style ninja stealth action game inspired by ancient Japanese mythology and culture that helped to revitalize the classic ninja video game genre....

After years of talk amongst fans, Jensen Ackles will finally be (the voice of) Batman in the upcoming Batman: The Long Halloween: Part One. “At long last, a collective dream has come true and Jensen Ackles is playing Batman.
