It’s been two years since Fable Legends was canceled and Lionhead Studios shuttered, but that doesn’t mean Microsoft’s intellectual property has faded away entirely. A third party studio created a digital card game set in the Fable world, but fans hoping for a first party production have been left with nothing else. Now, Shannon Loftis, the general manager of Xbox publishing for first party games, may have just shone a ray of light for Fable fans everywhere....

While there are many similarities between the big three console manufacturers currently dominating the market, Microsoft frequently leads the pack in regards to providing entertainment content outside of gaming. Over the course of the Xbox 360’s life cycle, they exhibited this with their Halo Waypoint app and seem intent on building upon that with their newly-announced Halo Channel. Like Halo Waypoint before it, Halo Channel will act as gamers’ hub to anything and everything Halo-related....

Fans of Netflix’s macabre true crime series, Mindhunter, already know that the series has essentially become another casualty in the streaming giant’s latest hair-trigger cancelation rush. However, unlike high-profile recent contemporaries such as GLOW, Away, Altered Carbon, and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, the David Fincher-produced series never officially got the axe; something that’s led to a sliver of optimism over its future. Fincher, who recently attributed Mindhunter’s de facto cancelation to an exorbitant budget that didn’t match its performance, remains passionate about the series, and his comments in a Variety cover story reveal a desire to eventually conjure a proper conclusion with a belated Season 3....

Anyone that was holding out hope that director Paul W.S. Anderson’s Monster Hunter film would be good can probably put that positivity to bed. Just yesterday, the film premiered in China and Germany, and viewers were treated to quite the opening segment. If you’d rather not have anything spoiled about the movie, I suggest not continuing further. As caught by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, one of the soldiers during the intro sequence in the film makes a rather racially insensitive joke for seemingly no reason....

Nargacuga is a recurring monster in the Monster Hunter series that is quite popular among fans. Now those fans who appreciate seeing Nargacuga every time it appears in the series, and especially those who appreciate its armor, will find the new Monster Hunter statue from Animegami, worth checking out. The statue itself is of the female hunter wearing the Nargacuga Alpha+ armor set from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. After its initial announcement at a Nintendo Direct in 2019, developer Onion Games has revealed a release date for the Western version of its 1997 RPG Moon for the Nintendo Switch. Although it is not as widely known as titles like Chrono Trigger, Moon has been listed as an influence by massively successful RPG creators. Originally developed by the Japanese company Love-de-lic, Moon was lauded for its subversion of existing RPG tropes....

WarnerMedia’s investigation of claims made by Cyborg actor Ray Fisher concerning Joss Whedon’s “abusive” behavior during the production of Justice League has finished. According to Fisher and the company, “remedial action” has been taken. Fisher tweeted about the investigation on December 11, saying WarnerMedia had given him an update earlier that day clarifying that some of the aforementioned “remedial action” had already been taken and more was expected. He added that the mass media conglomerate had issued a statement to him and all those involved in bringing the allegations forward which read, “WarnerMedia appreciates you having the courage to come forward and assist the company with creating an inclusive and equitable work environment for it’s employees and partners....

By January 2019, Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released and will serve as the latest entry in the long-standing franchise by Final Fantasy developer, Square Enix. Now, players can get a peek at the highly-anticipated game as Kingdom Hearts 3 will be playable at the X018 event in Mexico City on November 10th. Given that Square Enix has not announced early access for the game, it is exciting to know that players around Mexico City will be able to experience a hands-on demo of Kingdom Hearts 3....

Knack 2 is a good game. There, I said it. It’s not great, but compared to its mediocre predecessor, it feels like a fully fledged platformer with enough creative ideas to cement itself in my memory. Sadly, before it was even announced, the possibility of a Knack sequel had already become a bit of an internet meme. When the reveal trailer reared its head, people laughed. I was part of the crowd poking fun at Knack 2, curious why Sony would make a sequel to such a so-so launch title....

The next game that will star Link and Princess Zelda might be arriving sooner than anyone expected, as several sources are hinting that the game will be released on May 30, 2019. Cadence of Hyrule is an upcoming crossover between Crypt of the NecroDancer and The Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Switch, where the rhythmic roguelike action of the former is transplanted into the setting of the latter. The announcement for the game was made during the March 20th Nindies Showcase, where it was given a tentative release date of 2019....

Legacy of Kain, an action-adventure game, was first released back in 1996, having been mainly developed by Crystal Dynamics. The series hasn’t seen much action lately, but that’s not stopping fans from finding ways to improve on and keep Legacy of Kain relevant. Fans of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver should be happy to hear that the game is still alive. Specifically, a new mod has been added to the game from a big-time fan of the series....

When the Skylanders series debuted, game companies collectively face palmed and bemoaned not thinking of the idea first. Requiring players to purchase physical toys to unlock content in-game, the series was designed from the ground up to make gobs of cash. Releasing an opportunity when they see it, other game companies quickly made usage of the formula, with Nintendo releasing the mega-popular amiibo line and Disney throwing its hat into the ring with the Disney Infinity series....

After bringing the big-screen adventures of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter into playable Lego form, TT cooked up Lego Jurassic World to coincide with the release of the 2015 reboot of the Jurassic Park franchise starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. In addition to adapting the 2015 reboot, the game depicts the original three movies, with five levels being dedicated to each installment. It’s not a perfect game, but re-enacting all the dino-infested set pieces from the movies is plenty of fun for Jurassic Park fans....

More than a year before Illumination’s Super Mario movie hits theaters; the studio is also planning a Donkey Kong spinoff starring Seth Rogen. “It’s fair to say that when the cast of the upcoming Super Mario was revealed it led to a lot of chatter online. For one thing, it’ll be strange that a series of characters from a fantastical Nintendo world will have the voices of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars; it’s sure going to be intriguing when the film lands in the Holiday season of 2022....

These are the unfortunate sods who dared to accidentally deviate from the Sacred Timeline, inadvertently putting themselves onto the fascistic TVA’s radar where they’d be hunted down for eternity. The results must have been strong, as WOTC is going to implement this new form of mulligan into standard play in the Core Set 2020, and online in July....
